Tax Manager - Personal Income Taxation

We are seeking an enthusiastic Tax Manager with experience in Personal Income Taxation to join our dynamic tax advisory team. In this role, you will have the freedom and responsibility, and the organization’s support to develop a team and your own business case to grow your career.

You will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of clients comprised of senior executives, High-Net-Worth Individuals, and expatriates on behalf of corporate clients, as well as organizations which require support in handling tax matters for their workforce.

You will provide high-quality strategic tax support, planning and tax advisory services, as well as tax compliance as part of a 360-degree portfolio of services, while ensuring adherence to local and international tax laws and regulatory requirements.


What will you do:

  • Manage the client portfolio and continue to grow and develop it. You will participate in business development initiatives, including pitches, client presentations, and identifying opportunities for new product / service offerings.
  • Advise clients on Personal Income Tax and Social Security matters both from a local and international perspective, and you will collaborate with colleagues from other jurisdictions when required.
  • Provide advice, planning and implementation support for tax residency matters, including relocations, cross-border taxation, and equity compensation for both individuals and their families.
  • You will provide strategic advice during M&A transactions in respect of structuring the sale / acquisition where private individuals are involved.
  • Oversee and review the preparation and filing of Personal Income Tax returns, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely submission.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for corporate clients on matters related to workforce taxation, mobility programs, and benefits and compensation structuring.
  • Build, lead, coach, and develop a team of junior tax professionals and ensure high standards of client service, know-how and technical excellency.
  • Collaborate closely with the HR & Payroll Business Line within our local Forvis Mazars organization to meet client needs and identify common opportunities.


Candidate profile:

  • 4 to 6 years of relevant experience, ideally within a consulting, professional services or law firm.
  • Strong understanding of Personal Income Tax and Social Security laws and regulations (domestic, EU and international), including expatriate taxation, executive compensation and workforce tax matters.
  • Ability to manage multiple client relationships and deliver projects within deadlines and budgets.
  • Strong leadership, team management, and mentoring capabilities.
  • A mindset for development of tax technology tools and streamlining processes is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
